…It’s Only A Teaser, Says Ottah Agbo
Light has been restored to communities in Obu Branch, Otukpa District, Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State as the Honourable Member representing Ado/ Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo commissioned the brand new 500KVA Transformer he donated to the area.
The communities were thrown into darkness following the malfunctioning of the main transformer at Ede Park, Otukpa, about four years ago.
Members of the community were said to have contributed over N600,000 for the refurbishment of the equipment only to be told that they needed to contribute more for works to be completed on the transformer.
The Honourable Member donated a new transformer when he was informed by leaders of the community that the transformer is yet to be fixed since it broke down some years ago.
A prominent son of the community and political leader of Ogbadibo, Hon Chris Adaba Aba, popularly known as Mad Lion, said the Honourable Member obliged him with the request to donate a transformer less than 24 hours after he complained to him.
He said, “There are people who are richer than Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo in Ogbadibo but are only concerned about their comfort and the luxury of their families.
“This man came and met the need of the community by providing a transformer and tomorrow when he comes to seek their vote, they may bring an issue that he is not from here but he has identified with us in our time of need.”
Ottah Agbo in his remark said he will never be tired to serve humanity.
He said, “I have no enemy to fight. My enemies are poverty, underdevelopment, disease, ignorance and hunger. Providing electricity as we have done, restoring light to Otukpa Branch, after four years of darkness was part of our strategic package of fighting under- develoment in Enone and we shall keep intervening. I will not relent in serving humanity for he that serveth man well, serveth God.”
The Lawmaker said the transformer is only a ‘teaser’ as he is bound to bring bigger projects to Ogbadibo LGA.
The Ozigizaga and Moving Train of Enone Politics reiterated his promise to site at least a major project in the 11 old Idoma Districts that make up Ado, Ogbadibo/Okpokwu/Federal Constituency.
Members of the community who spoke at the occasion prayed for God’s blessings on him and pledged their support for him to return to the House of Representatives in 2023.
